I bought the car in April of 2015.
I am the third owner with no wrecks.
Clean Title wtih Vin Number.
Non Negociable on Price.
Please don't call from out of state.
BMW M3 E46 Manual 6 Speed 2001
Near Wake Forest Highway in Durham.
I work third shift at a local hospital and the car is only available for
showing early in the morning.
More pictures on my website. www.douglashartley.com
I usually turn my phone off by 1:00pm before I go to sleep.
No problems with Sub Frame or Vanos.
I have had the car for just a little over 4 years and bought the car
from a local engineer who works for Cisco. He had two M3's and his wife
told him that one of them had to go. I am not sure how he obtained the
car, outside of that the previous owner bought the car in I believe
Pennsylvania. Anyway, I believe that I am the Third owner. It does have
weird rust spot near driver door, but none underneath the car. I was
making plans to fix the spot, but I got too many other problems to worry
about a car.
The only records I have are since the time I have owned the car.
The car just needs a little TLC, but if were perfect I would asking
more.
There is another local m3 with more miles and more money.
The last guy that looked at the car was from Virginia Beach and was 3
hours late and told me he got lost.
Last guy said he had to have racing seats and new rims and asked If i
would negotiate.
It does not need seats or rims.
I told him he can do as he wishes after he buys the car.
If your calling from Florida and tell me your flying in and Driving the
car home, I am not going to take you serious when you tell me you got to
ask the wife. And if you tell me your flying in from Rhode Island and
driving the car home, I am not going to take you serious. If your from
Florida or out of state, PLEASE DON'T
CALL.
Bad spots, but fixable.
Small rust spot near drive door, I'll get some pictures.
Front rotors are warped, but I got new Brembo Rotors waiting in the
garage downstairs. Brakes do not rub. They just warped when I was
braking real hard when and old lady pulled out in front of me. I was
speeding and she probably had no idea how fast I was going. It was
actually like I hit a pot hole. I actually got out of the car to
make sure the tire was not hurt. It all happend so fast. This is one of
those cars, where you actually ask yourself why is Everybody going so slow
and you look down and your going ninty miles per hour.
" Your a Responsible Adult, Right? ".
The Pirelli P Zero's are too Fat in the Back and Rub, but they only got
maybe 2 thousand miles on them and they only Rub in the parking lots.
Couple more things I forgot about the car.
Needs Windshiel wipers.
Resistor for the air conditioner is bad. Its works, but sometimes it
will just quit. And that ain't cool in the summer.
Also, the speed sensors for the traction control will act up and all
of a sudden the brakes will apply, not Bad though.
Just enough to make you wonder What was that.
I replaced the sensors once with some second hand parts off ebay,
testing to see if that was the problem.
The second hand sensors worked and lasted about 2 years and started
acting up again.
I had planned to replace the sensors when I was going to work on the
breaks.
I believe the sensor cables are about 40 dollars each for the OEM.
And I believe the Resistor for the AC is about 30 dollars.
Take these into consideration when buying the car and YOU CAN
Negotiate on the Price.
I figure it will take about 200 - 300 dollars in parts and maybe 200
- 300 in labor.
Don't forget I got discs in the garage, Brembo's.
If you can do the work that is great, the cables are easy.
Look up youtube video on traction control and speed sensors.
Good Spots:
New Starter.
New Battery.
New Key BOF and New Software update.
Rear Bushing replaced about 4 thousand miles ago.
No Problems with Sub Frame or Vanos
Anyway, hope this helps.
I believe the car needs very little, I just got too many real life problems to be
worried about a car.
My daily driver is a Toyota Avalon.
Sorry, but I really don't have a lot of convient time to talk on the
phone unless it's real early in the morning.
No Joy Rides to the Mechanics.
And if you ask about price, expect me to hang
up and block your number.
Make Plans to meet at the Bank.
