We have developed a portable, solar-powered lighting and electronics charging station.The SunLīt® Solar Illumination and Power System can be deployed rapidly, at low cost in individual dwellings or disaster areas to supply sufficient power to illuminate a standard-sized living room for 12-18 hours until it requires 8 hours of sunlight to recharge. This is accomplished through the use of modern, high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, advanced microelectronics, and high efficiency, high brightness light emitting diode (LED) technology. Standard marine cigarette lighter and type A USB power jacks allow the recharging of electronics such as cell/satellite phones, portable computers, and medical instrumentation. The device is ruggedized for field deployment, manufactured from Mil Spec parts, and housed in an IP67 enclosure. |
